Your Support Saves Lives

Cow with Guests at Farm Sanctuary

Farm animals are among the most abused creatures on earth. Pigs, cows, chickens, turkeys, goats, sheep, and others suffer by the billions, locked away in places that echo with cries of terror and pain, places that reek of cruelty, dark places with unspeakable horrors.

You are one of the special people who know that farm animals are individuals who deserve our compassion. Every time you support Farm Sanctuary, you shine the light of your kindness into their lives. You speak up for a better and more compassionate way.

Farm Sanctuary is committed to efficiency and transparency.

We communicate with our supporters, donors, and prospective donors through campaigns conducted via direct mail, email, telephone, and other means, both to request contributions to our cause and to educate the public about farm animal issues, our rescue and care programs, our on-site and off-site educational programs, volunteer opportunities, calls to action, and more.

These efforts help advance our mission to protect farm animals from cruelty, inspire change in the way society views and treats farm animals, and promote compassionate vegan living.

As a result, in accordance with the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) guidelines and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) guidance, Farm Sanctuary allocates a portion of these expenses to fundraising and a portion to program services. As a nonprofit organization that is exempt from federal taxation, we ensure our donors’ money is spent as efficiently and effectively as possible.
