We look forward to sharing many wonderful events with you this year, but for 2012 the following events will not be a part of our schedule: Fourth of July Pignic, Twilight tour at our Northern California Shelter and the Farm Animal Care Conference.

California Country Hoe Down
Orland, CA
Each summer, hundreds of people concerned with and curious about farm animal protection gather at Farm Sanctuary’s Orland, CA, shelter for the Country Hoe Down! The weekend is filled with presentations from expert speakers, workshops and networking sessions, plenty of quality time with the rescued animals of the sanctuary, live music, dancing, and mouthwatering vegan food! Attendees have lauded the event as a great way to keep up-to-date on the issues and to meet other like-minded people. Join us at the Country Hoe Down to start your summer rejuvenated, informed and inspired! Check back for details.

August 4 & 5, 2012
New York Country Hoe Down
Watkins Glen, NY

Registration for the weekend includes mouth-watering vegan meals, our famous barn dance, and admission into our camping area, where guests are invited to pitch a tent for the weekend! Celebration FOR the Turkeys
Orland, CA, and Watkins Glen, NY
At Farm Sanctuary, we celebrate each Thanksgiving by honoring the rescued turkeys who call our sanctuaries home with a feast of stuffed squash, cranberries and pumpkin pie. Following the Feeding of the Turkeys ceremony, registered guests are treated to a vegan holiday feast of their own as they enjoy inspiring presentations from leaders of the animal protection movement. The event is a highlight of the season, both for the guests who attend in person and the hundreds of supporters who tune in for the Feeding of the Turkeys ceremony via webcam. We invite you to take part in this compassionate holiday tradition with us! Check back for details.
