Sponsor a Rescued Farm Animal for the Holidays

Your $35 gift does so much!

Your symbolic adoption raises awareness, honors our rescued residents, and helps Farm Sanctuary work toward a kinder world for other farm animals through rescue, education, and advocacy.

Give the gift of sponsorship, and ring in 2022 with love that lasts all year long!

How do you make the holidays even more meaningful? With a gift that inspires compassion!

Every day, our rescued residents are changing hearts and minds. Biscuit’s playfulness shows us his resilience. Jenny’s friendliness connects us with our compassion. Paula’s affection for her family reminds us of the importance of belonging.

With a special, one-time $35 sponsorship through our Adopt a Farm Animal program, you can get––or gift!––the power of Sanctuary. This symbolic adoption does double duty: it inspires your human loved ones and helps your farm animal friends, too.

You or your gift recipient will receive a personalized digital certificate, including the adopter’s name and adoption date, along with the animal’s photo and info. And there’s an additional gift for you: you’ll be signed up for a one-year subscription to Sanctuary, our magazine.

Jenny

Jenny was found on the side of the road, locked in a small pet crate. A rescuer found the frightened, overheated piglet and brought her to a friend’s home to nurse her back to health. As Jenny got bigger—and more adventurous—the guardians struggled to keep up with her care. A family member suggested they send Jenny to slaughter, but they couldn’t do that to someone they loved! Now safe at Farm Sanctuary, Jenny is a happy, friendly pig who loves receiving attention, exploring her pasture, and napping in her warm and spacious barn with her new family.

Biscuit

The world used to be a dark and scary place for Biscuit. After losing his family to slaughter, the blind sheep retreated to a corner of his barn and passed the time alone. Then, a visiting teen found and befriended him. Knowing Biscuit would also face slaughter soon, she asked to take him home instead. They loved to play and cuddle together—but she sensed that Biscuit needed sheep friends, too. So, she asked if Biscuit could come to Farm Sanctuary. Today, he’s a sweet and bouncy boy who loves to play with his new friends—whether rearing up for gentle headbutts or relaxing side by side in the sun.

Paula

Paula was supposed to be a “dairy cow.” When she failed to conceive before her second birthday, her owners considered sending her to slaughter. (It would cost more to keep her around than they would make from a cow who was not making milk.) Around the same time, however, Paula’s right eye was injured and needed to be surgically removed. The vet empathized with Paula and asked that she be sent to Sanctuary. Here, Paula is a social, caring member of her herd who loves to plant big kisses on her new friends and be groomed by them in return!
