Latin American & Hispanic Heritage Month

September 15 – October 15 marks Latin American & Hispanic Heritage Month. This is a time to honor and celebrate Latin American and Hispanic communities and all the undeniable contributions they have given to the world.

From science to sports and entertainment, to politics and social justice, Hispanic and Latin American culture has expanded our minds and opened us up to the infinite possibilities of achievement.

Farm Sanctuary will highlight change makers of Latin American & Hispanic heritage like Dolores Huerta, Cesar Chavez, and the late LGBTQ+ activist Ray Sugar Rocky Rivas, among others. We demand increased equity for everyone within this diverse landscape, and this month will be a step towards providing that.

Please support the ongoing Hurricane Ian relief. The Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW), one of our program partners, shared about ways to support residents who have been impacted, who are largely of Latin American and Hispanic heritage.
