We don’t know about you, but we think Serena’s cute. Snuggly and outgoing, she’s a leader of her squad. She loves listening to music, especially her favorite superstar, Taylor Swift.

Serena was born on a small farm, where she and her “sister” Venus faced some of the same cruel practices inflicted on factory-farmed birds, like painful debeaking. Thankfully, a kind rescuer saved her and Venus from becoming holiday meals.

Although her scars remind us of her past, Serena is now fully embracing her sanctuary era.

One of her favorite activities is listening to music. If you play Taylor Swift, Serena will light up as soon as she hears her voice—and we’re sure many Swifties would agree with her favorite Taylor song: “All Too Well.”

In addition to enjoying Taylor tunes, Serena loves playing with treat toys and soaking up attention from caregivers.

Serena knows she’s the headliner in the aviary. To her, the sanctuary is her place, and she makes the rules.

She cuddles up to best friends Thelma turkey and Eric rooster. In fact, Thelma and Serena are closer than besties; they’re chosen family! As “the older sister” of the duo, Serena can be assertive and believes her place is at the top of the flock hierarchy—but Thelma’s also clearly earned a space in her heart, too. These two snuggle up close to lounge and sunbathe or visit their buddies across the fence, the Cornish hens.
