Adopt a Farm Animal

Because the animals at Farm Sanctuary have been rescued from situations of cruelty, abuse, and neglect, many of them have special care needs, including costly veterinary expenses. Since it is often too costly for one person to fund the care of a special needs animal, we must provide for many of these needy individuals with the help of multiple generous sponsors like you. As a sponsor, your contribution not only provides for your adopted friend but it also goes into a general fund that works to protect all farm animals through Farm Sanctuary’s rescue, education, and advocacy efforts. The more sponsors we have, the more animals we can commit to caring for, and so on.

We ask that you sign up for an automatic payment program. Your sponsorship donations can come directly out of your checking or savings account, or be charged to a debit or credit card. Automatic contribution programs are a convenient way to ensure the ongoing daily care of our shelter animals. They also cut down on administrative costs, which means that your contribution goes that much further to help the animals!

The minimum monthly sponsorship gift is $15/month, and the minimum annual sponsorship is $180/year.

All monthly sponsorships will automatically renew, as well as annual adoptions made after December 21, 2021. If you made an annual adoption gift before that date, you will need to reach out to [email protected] for assistance in renewing your current sponsorship(s).

Yes! We request a two-week advance notice to schedule a visit with your sponsored animal. To arrange, please email [email protected] (if your sponsored animal is in Watkins Glen, NY) or [email protected] (if your sponsored animal is in Acton, CA). While we make every effort to accommodate these visits, arrangements depend on staff availability and other unforeseen circumstances.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer shipping on certificates outside the United States at this time.

Sponsorship certificates are mailed twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday; please allow 3-5 standard shipping days for arrival.
